are "as endless as the seas". Dagbert's endowment is to drown other people, controlling water. Dagbert has to be around Charlie all the time, so he starts to drive his friends away by insulting them. Later Charlie
finds out that his great Aunt Venetia will marry a man who has two young children. Meanwhile, there is a weird howling that the whole town could hear. The town decides to call it the "wilderness wolf" and thinks
that it's dangerous. When Charlie goes home for the weekend his Uncle gets bitten by a creature outside their house. He claims that the things were definitely not a wolf as everyone else thought, but more of a human.
When the town holds a meeting, Charlie's friend Benjamin proposes the idea that Charlie's classmate Asa Pike might be the creature since earlier he betrayed Manfred Bloor and helped Charlie get his father back.
Charlie's great Aunt Venetia dropped her new children at Ingledew's bookshop. Little Eric was endowed, but Miranda was not. When Charlie goes back to Bloor's he is told by Billy Raven that the Wilderness Wolf
is shouting "Help". When there is gunshots one night Billy tells Charlie that he heard it howl "Father". Later that week Charlie wakes up to his friend Naren sending the message goodbye. When he tried to talk back
Dagbert sees the message and Charlie confronts him. While talking Dagbert experiences wild symptoms, such as glowing and pain, and he keeps telling Charlie to get his Sea Gold Creatures from under his pillow.
When he gets better Dagbert explains how it is his birthday and how he is now more powerful than his father. When Charlie goes home for the weekend Benjamin explains his plan about Asa Pike and Charlie thinks that
could be right. He decides that he has to help Asa because Asa risked everything to help him and his father. So he, Olivia, Benjamin, and Runner Bean go into the forest looking for him. Instead, they find Asa's mother
as they realize that Asa's father was shot and was now dead. On their way across a dangerous metal bridge, the water rises so high that Runner Bean was washed away. Charlie's wand (which was turned into a moth) ends up
helping them from drowning and Charlie sees the Red King across the bridge. Benjamin goes off to find Runner Bean and Charlie and Olivia bring Mrs. Pike to the Pet's Cafe. There she explains her story of how she
thought that Asa would be good at Bloors Academy with Manfred as his friend, but they explained how they took him away because of how he betrayed them. Charlie leaves and remembers that he has to pick up Billy's Rat
from a Kettle store. When he gets there the lady gives him a strange kettle that gets warm when he was in danger. Charlie and Billy make a plan to go save Asa from underground. When they go they see Asa in his beast
form, but Charlie finds that Billy lost his endowment. They decide that he needs to change back into his human form before they can talk to him. When Billy uses his special candles and Charlie uses his wand (moth)
Asa turns into his human form as they leave the area. They see the Red King and they agree that Asa should go with him. Asa thanks Charlie for helping him and leaves.

accident, and Dr. Bloor moves away, (presumably to Paris, where his wife lives), along with all the evil people in the city. Bloor's becomes Bone Academy, and is proclaimed the happiest school in the city.
Billy is adopted by Lyell and Amy, Paton and Julia marry, and they move together to the bookstore. The book (and series) ends when Billy whispers to Charlie at the Pet's Cafe, "Tancred and Emma are holding hands."

Percy Jackson and The Olympians
|
The Lightning Thief (2005)
|
|
When Percy Jackson comes home for summer vacation, he and his mother, Sally Jackson, travel to their cabin in Montauk to escape Percy's stepdad, Gabe Ugliano. However, the trip is cut short after a series of harrowing
incidents, including an attack by the Minotaur, resulting in his mother's disappearance. Percy finds himself at Camp Half-Blood, a training camp for demigods, and discovers that he too is a demigod, son of Poseidon,
the Greek god of the sea. Percy also learns that his best friend, Grover Underwood, is actually a satyr, and that Zeus suspects Percy has stolen his Master Bolt, the most powerful weapon in the world. To clear his name,
save the world from another war between the Olympian gods, and possibly save his mother whose soul was collected by Hades, Percy sets out to retrieve the lightning bolt from Hades, who may be the real thief,
after hearing a prophecy from an Oracle of Delphi at Camp Half-Blood. Percy, Grover, and Annabeth Chase, a daughter of Athena, start on a journey to the underworld, facing numerous mythological monsters on the way.
Their underworld visit does not go as planned, and they realise that Hades himself had his helmet of darkness (symbol of his power) stolen. After confronting an innocent Hades, they learn that their friend Luke Castellan,
son of Hermes, is the real thief who stole the lightning bolt to allow Kronos, the defeated King of the Titans from the past, a chance to rise again and that Ares, the Greek god of war, had been manipulated by Kronos
and helped cover up Luke's crime to instigate a war between the Olympians. Percy barely holds off Ares in a head-to-head fight which was interrupted by Kronos, who wants Percy alive for his future plans. Percy confronts
Luke at Camp Half Blood, which ends with Luke attacking him; Percy barely survives and Luke escapes. At summer's end, Percy returns home to find his mother back from Hades' realm as an expression of gratitude.

The Sea of Monsters (2006)
|
|
Camp Half-Blood is under attack when Thalia's tree, which guards the borders of the camp against monsters, is poisoned and slowly begins to die. Chiron, the camp activities director, has been replaced by Tantalus.
To save the tree and the camp, someone must recover the Golden Fleece, which is located somewhere in the Sea of Monsters (the Bermuda Triangle). At the same time, Percy learns that Grover, who has left on a quest to find
Pan, has been captured by the Cyclops Polyphemus, and that the Fleece is on the Cyclops's island. Percy sets out to rescue Grover with Annabeth and his Cyclops half-brother Tyson, even though Tantalus has prohibited him
from doing so. Meanwhile, Ares' daughter Clarisse La Rue is sent on an official quest by Camp Half-Blood to retrieve the Fleece. The trip to the Sea of Monsters is long and hazardous, and along the way, the heroes
encounter several dangers including Scylla and Charybdis, the sorceress Circe, the Sirens, and their former friend Luke Castellan. Percy also learns of a prophecy from the Oracle of Delphi: A child of one of
"the Big Three" most important gods (Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades) will play a vital part in the success or failure of resurrecting Kronos the Titan-King and saving Olympus. Following the encounter with Luke, the heroes
eventually retrieve the Fleece and restore Thalia's tree, unknowingly resurrecting Thalia, daughter of Zeus. She had been turned into the tree by her father after she sacrificed herself so Annabeth and Luke could get
safely to Camp Half-Blood six years prior.

The Titan's Curse (2007)
|
|
On a mission to rescue the half-bloods Bianca and Nico di Angelo; Percy, Annabeth, Thalia and Grover are attacked by a Manticore. They are rescued by the goddess Artemis, but Annabeth is captured. Later, Artemis is
captured by Luke's army while hunting for the Ophiotaurus, a cow serpent, which had been foretold to cause the downfall of Olympus when its entrails were sacrificed. Artemis's lieutenant Zoë Nightshade, daughter of Atlas
and a sister of the Hesperides, leads Bianca (now a Hunter of Artemis), Thalia, and Grover on a quest to save her. Percy follows them on behalf of Nico di Angelo, promising to try to protect Nico's sister, Bianca,
as he also tries to find Annabeth. The others eventually encounter Percy, and he joins their group. The group is chased across the country by many monsters, including the Nemean Lion and skeleton warriors. Bianca kills
a skeleton, leaving the others mystified, and hinting at her godly parentage, her father, Hades. Bianca sets off a trap as they cross a godly mechanical dump guarded by Talos, a giant automaton guarding the junkyard.
She later dies, sacrificing herself to save the others; Percy could not save her as she was destined to die as part of the quest's prophecy recited by the Oracle of Delphi. They find Annabeth with Luke, Atlas, and Artemis,
the latter of whom is holding up the sky. Percy then takes it from Artemis, and they trick Atlas into his original position under the sky. Thalia replaces Zoë, who dies saving Artemis, as Artemis' lieutenant.
Thalia's induction as a lieutenant of Artemis ensures that she will become immortal, never aging to reach 16, thus escaping the Great Prophecy and leaving Percy to fulfill it. They return to camp, and Percy informs Nico
about Bianca's death during the journey. Nico blames Percy for failing to protect her and runs away, only after causing skeletal warriors invading the camp to fall into the dark void of the Underworld, thus alerting Percy
to the fact that Hades is Nico and Bianca's father.

The Battle of The Labyrinth (2008)
|
|
Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson venture on a quest to find Daedalus's workshop within the labyrinth, which Luke Castellan and his army are looking for too, with the help of Ariadne's string. A swordsman named Quintus
is subbing for Mr. D as Camp Half-Blood's director, since Mr. D is on a mission to get the minor gods to be on the gods' side of the war. The questers go on a journey inside the labyrinth, facing many monsters.
They eventually discover a forge belonging to the god Hephaestus being used by Kronos's smiths. To escape, Percy triggers a volcanic eruption that puts him in a coma. Percy awakes on the island Ogygia, being tended by
the immortal Calypso. He eventually returns to his friends and recruits Rachel Elizabeth Dare, a mortal he encountered in the previous book, to navigate the labyrinth. With Rachel's help, the group finds Daedalus's workshop,
where they find out that Quintus is Daedalus. Daedalus betrays them and sells them out to Luke, and the questers flee back to camp. Luke's army follows them and a battle ensues. The demigods win but suffer many casualties
including Daedalus, Castor, and Lee Fletcher. After the battle, they prepare for the oncoming war against Lord Kronos, who has possessed the body of Luke Castellan and has risen to obliterate Olympus.

The Last Olympian (2009)
|
|
Percy Jackson learns that Kronos' forces are preparing to attack Olympus. Poseidon, Percy's father, decides that it is time for Percy to learn what exactly the Great Prophecy means. Seeking a way to defeat Kronos,
Nico di Angelo tells Percy his plan, though Percy does not like it. Percy bathes in the River Styx, making his body invulnerable except one small chosen part of his body (his Achilles' heel, in his case the small of his
back). Kronos leads a siege of New York City and puts its mortal citizens to sleep. Percy leads the campers, Hunters, nature spirits, and centaurs to protect Mount Olympus from Kronos and his forces. While they protect
Olympus, the gods battle the monster Typhon as he makes his way across the country to New York. Kronos, possessing Luke's body, forces his way into Olympus and battles Percy in Olympus' throne room. Typhon reaches
New York but is defeated after the arrival of Poseidon's forces, led by Tyson. Annabeth is able to help Luke overcome Kronos, and Percy gives Annabeth's knife (which is the cursed blade mentioned in the prophecy) to Luke.
Luke, who has also bathed in the River Styx to host Kronos, stabs himself in his armpit, his "Achilles’ heel", to destroy Kronos and save Mount Olympus, dying heroically. The gods reward Percy and his friends and offer him
immortality. Percy rejects the offer but instead requests for the gods to claim all their children and to have cabins for all the gods, including the minor ones. Rachel Elizabeth Dare becomes Apollo's next Oracle,
breaking Hades' curse on the position, and recites the next Great Prophecy. The book finishes with Percy and Annabeth becoming a couple, and ominous clouds looming over Rachel's next Great Prophecy.

The Chalice of The Gods (2023)
|
|
Percy Jackson is informed by his father Poseidon that, because he was never supposed to exist due to the pact, he is ineligible to attend New Rome University. However, Zeus has agreed to allow Percy to attend on the
condition that he complete three new quests for the gods and get letters of recommendation from each god. Poseidon helps Percy to put an ad out for his services while assigning Eudora, a nereid, to be Percy's school
guidance counselor as further assistance. Percy's girlfriend, Annabeth Chase, and his best friend Grover Underwood volunteer to help Percy complete the quests. Zeus' cup-bearer Ganymede responds to the advertisement,
needing help because his chalice of immortality has been stolen and Ganymede needs to recover it before the other gods find out. Percy and his friends investigate Hebe and Iris as potential suspects, and are forced
to work around Percy's school schedule. Although both are cleared of any wrongdoing, in exchange for the three cleansing her magical staff, Iris uncovers the true culprit as Geras, the god of old age, and helps Percy,
Annabeth and Grover to locate him. Percy challenges Geras to a wrestling match to the death, but ultimately wins by embracing Geras and in effect, old age and everything that comes with mortality, winning Geras' respect
and the return of the chalice. However, Percy, Annabeth and Grover get a distress call from Ganymede that Zeus is holding a sudden brunch for his mother Rhea, meaning that Ganymede needs the chalice back immediately.
With the assistance of Grover, Annabeth's cap of invisibility, and Zeus' kitchen staff, Percy sneaks into Zeus's palace where he gets Ganymede alone with the unexpected help of Athena and returns the chalice to him just
in time. Ganymede gives Percy a magical piece of paper on which Percy, his pregnant mother Sally, his stepfather Paul and Annabeth dictate his first recommendation letter. Poseidon reassures Percy that he's always watching
over him and tells Percy that his small act of heroism in helping Ganymede proves Percy to be a true hero more than any of his world-saving quests did as Percy had kept his promise to the god and challenged Geras not to
save the world or to get the letter in the end, but because it's who he is. Percy and Annabeth make plans for their future together and to get the rest of the letters that Percy will need to secure his entrance into college.

Piper's father, who has been kidnapped by another giant, Enceladus. Jason, who has amnesia, also begins to remember pieces of his past throughout the book —most importantly, he comes from a Roman camp for demigods.
Camp Half-Blood resolves to seek out this other camp both to gain allies in the fight against Gaea, the giants' mother and commander, and to locate the missing demigod, Percy Jackson.

Percy Jackson, struck with amnesia, discover Camp Jupiter and meets several Roman demigods. After receiving a prophecy from Mars, Percy, Frank Zhang, and Hazel Levesque travel to Alaska to stop the rise of the giant
Alcyoneus and free the god Thanatos, whom the giant has captured. After successfully completing their mission, the group returns to Camp Jupiter to defend it from yet another giant, Polybotes, and his army.

The Mark of Athena (2012)

After the Argo II unintentionally fires on Camp Jupiter after Leo Valdez is possessed to attack it, the seven demigods of the "Prophecy of Seven" — Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Leo Valdez, Piper McLean, Jason Grace,
Frank Zhang, and Hazel Levesque — rush to escape the angered Roman campers. The Argo II is damaged, and the group splits up to find supplies to help Leo fix it. Hazel and Leo go out to try to find Celestial bronze and
lime for calcium carbonate when they encounter Nemesis, the universal (meaning Roman and Greek) goddess of revenge. Nemesis's form is different for both Leo and Hazel, Leo seeing his Aunt Rosa and Hazel seeing one of her
old teachers. Nemesis tells Leo that the gods are split between their Greek and Roman forms, making them disoriented and confused. This means a civil war is on the rise between the Romans and the Greeks. Nemesis tells Leo
that he will be the "seventh wheel", and not fit in with the Seven. She also tells Leo that he will stumble upon a problem that he cannot solve. Nemesis offers Leo help — for a price. She leaves Leo and Hazel frazzled,
confused, and angry. The Seven travel to Rome, guided by the "Mark of Athena", a magical talisman designed to lead children of Athena to the missing Athena Parthenos. During their journey, they hear that Nico di Angelo
has been captured by the Aloadae, and go to rescue him. Although they successfully free him and locate the statue, Annabeth and Percy are pulled into Tartarus by Gaea, and Nico promises Percy to get the other demigods
to the "Doors of Death".

have stopped working. The two go on a quest to locate and protect one of the remaining oracles, Dodona, and to learn how to help the other oracles and regain Apollo's immortality. Apollo discovers that the first oracle
he has to save is heavily guarded by the mysterious 'Beast', who is revealed to be one of three evil Roman emperors-turned-minor gods, the Roman emperor Nero, as well as Meg's stepfather. Who later convinces Meg that he

The Burning Maze (2018)
|
|
Lester Papadopoulos/Apollo, Meg McCaffrey, and Grover Underwood try to rescue Herophile, an oracle that speaks only in puzzles, from the Roman emperor Caligula. After fleeing the Labyrinth, Apollo dreams about the oracle
saying that he must save her even though it is a trap. When he wakes up, he is in Grover's base. Apollo and Grover go to try to find Gleeson Hedge in an army store called Macro's Military Madness. They then find out that
Macro, the store owner, is actually Naevius Sutorius Macro, who works for Caligula, and he attacks them with an army of automatons. By activating command sequence Daedalus twenty-three, they defeat Macro with his own
robots. They then navigate the maze with the help of Piper McLean and Jason Grace. After a raid on Caligula's naval fleet that results in Jason's death, Apollo and Meg steal a pair of Caligula's sandals, which let people
navigate the Labyrinth. Piper, upset over Jason's death, is unable to help them further. The next day, Grover, Meg, and Apollo walk the Labyrinth using Caligula's shoes. They free Herophile, discover a new prophecy,
and free Helios. Piper comes back and kills Medea, an evil sorceress who was working with Caligula (also Helios's grandchild). The book ends with Leo arriving from Camp Jupiter, learning about Jason's death, and Apollo

The Tyrant's Tomb (2019)
|
|
Apollo and Meg take Jason's body to Camp Jupiter in the San Francisco Bay Area. On their way, they are attacked by an eurynomos, but a girl with pink hair arrives with dryads and a faun and kills the euronymous. She
introduces herself as Lavinia and says she will take them to Camp Jupiter. All the dryads and fauns start to leave, but as the last faun, Don, tries to go, Lavinia says that he owes her for helping him. They carry Jason's
coffin to the tunnel where Lavinia knows there is a shortcut to Camp Jupiter. Hazel Levesque suddenly arrives, as well as two more of the euronymous. They enter the tunnel while Hazel tries to kill the euronymous.
Apollo tries to sing a song to help Hazel but is scratched in the stomach by a euronymous before Hazel kills it. Due to the scratch, Apollo starts to turn into a corpse. Hazel sees Jason's coffin and is terrified because
she had a dream about Jason being killed by Caligula. The five arrive in Camp Jupiter, where they are greeted by Frank Zhang and Reyna Ramirez-Arellano, the praetors. The camp decides that they will all carry on with
Jason's plan to build temples honoring the gods. Apollo then faints and has a dream about Caligula and Commodus discussing their plan to either take Camp Jupiter without conflict or destroy it using Greek fire from
Caligula's yachts. Apollo wakes up in a bed and Meg explains that he has been asleep for a day and a half. There is a funeral for Jason that night, and Lupa shows up to tell Apollo to get divine help to defeat their enemies.
Apollo and Frank go to Ella the harpy and Tyson the cyclops, who are recreating the Sibylline Books. They get a prophecy regarding Tarquin's tomb. They go to the camp senate, where he, Meg, Lavinia, and Hazel are selected
to go on a mission to find out more about Tarquin, the final king of Rome, who has returned. They discover that Tarquin has kept a "soundless god" at Sutro Tower. After they return, they realize that to solve the
communication issues and get divine help, they need to destroy the soundless god. A quest is issued for Apollo, Meg, and Reyna to go to Sutro Tower. At the tower, they realize the god is Harpocrates, who has had troubles
with Apollo. He also has a jar containing the voice of the Sibyl of Cumae. With some difficulty, they manage to get the last breath of Harpocrates, along with Sibyl's Jar, which is required to get divine help. On their way
back, they are ambushed by a euronymous again, and after they kill him, they are helped by Lavinia and her friends, who escaped from the camp earlier. Reyna and Lavinia issue "Plan L" to defeat the yachts that Apollo saw in
his dream. When Apollo and Meg return, they see the camp in the midst of a war. Apollo calls for divine help on Temple Hill. He decides to call Diana. Frank sacrifices himself by burning his firewood lifeline in the process
of killing Caligula to save the other legionnaires. Commodus gives the order to fire, but due to "Plan L", this fails and the yachts are destroyed. Apollo kills Commodus in the grief of losing Frank. But after the fire
dies it’s revealed that Frank is mysteriously still alive. Meanwhile, Tarquin has reached the bookshop where the Sibylline Books are being rewritten, but Ella and Tyson are not there. Meg and Hazel fight Tarquin. Diana
finally arrives, kills Tarquin, and heals Apollo. Reyna and Lavinia, along with Peaches the karpos, return. Arion and Reyna pledges herself to Diana (Artemis) and joins the Hunters. Dakota, son of Bacchus and the longtime
centurion of the Fifth Cohort, passes away overnight due to wounds from the battle. Don the faun also dies and gets reincarnated into a laurel tree, Apollo's tree of victory. Hazel is voted new praetor of Camp Jupiter and
Lavinia is voted in as centurion of the Fifth Cohort. Apollo receives his old godly bow as a gift from Camp Jupiter, Meg receives seeds, and they set off to New York after receiving the final prophecy from Ella and Tyson;
they realize it is in terza rima form and they have to find more stanzas in the east. They go in hopes of being reunited with their friends from Camp Half-Blood.[13]

The Tower of Nero (2020)

While returning to New York, Apollo and Meg encounter an amphisbaena, which recites the second stanza of the terza rima prophecy. They are attacked by a Gaul working for Nero, Luguselwa, or Lu, and her germani. Lu turns
out to be on their side and helps them escape. The trio reaches the Upper East Side and they decide to go to Percy Jackson for help, but soon learn that Percy and his girlfriend Annabeth Chase are on the West Coast.
They stage a fight against Lu with Apollo pushing Lu off the building so that Nero believes that she is still on his side, as Nero can see them through a security camera installed in a nearby building. Apollo and Meg
reach Camp Half-Blood and the Grey Sisters recite another couplet of the terza rima prophecy. They find out that Chiron has gone to a meeting with gods from other pantheons, including Bastet and Mímir and the Gods of Asgard,

|
The Red Pyramid (2010)
|
|
After a mysterious accident in a museum leaves their egyptologist father missing, siblings Carter and Sadie Kane are taken in by their uncle Amos and introduced to their family's long and proud tradition of magic.
The duo discovers that they have been chosen as "hosts" by the gods Horus and Isis, respectively, and are hunted by the House of Life, the world's governing body of Egyptian magicians, because they have forbidden
magicians to follow the path of the gods (which Carter and Sadie are currently doing). Carter and Sadie learn that the god Set plans to destroy the North American continent using their father's power, and they embark
on a quest to save him and prove their innocence and good intentions to the House. While on their quest, they learn that a greater threat is rising: Apophis.
|
|
The Throne of Fire (2011)
|
|
Carter and Sadie Kane have recruited several students to follow the path of the gods, but are still fugitives from the House of Life. The young magicians secretly plan to find the long-lost king of the gods, Ra,
hoping he will help them fight Apophis, a powerful god of chaos (and Ra's eternal enemy) who masterminded Set's scheme earlier that year (in The Red Pyramid). They journey across the world looking for three scrolls
to awaken Ra's three aspects and to find Ra's location (as well as the location of a missing magician named Zia Rashid), and finally into the Duat to rescue Ra and drive Apophis further from the mortal world.
They fail in doing so.

|
The Serpent's Shadow (2012)
|
|
A few months after the events of the previous book, the House of Life is battling repeated invasions by the forces of chaos, leading the Kanes and their trainees to look desperately for a way to stop Apophis.
They finally settle on a difficult method involving part of Apophis's soul (the Serpent's sheut) and go to great lengths to ensure they will be able to use the sheut to defeat Apophis successfully. With the help of all
the gods, especially Ra (hosted by Zia Rashid), the Kane siblings are able to finally banish Apophis and save their friends, although their actions have the unintended consequence of driving the gods away from the
mortal world (until they can reform and find new hosts in a few hundred years).
