Parasomnia (2025), Quarantieme: Live-A-Paris (2025)

Spiders seeking shelter, fading with the dawn, vanishing at sunrise as morning light shines on
Sacrificial martyr, victim dressed in white, headed for the slaughter, angels cry for her tonight
To the cross at the stake, to the lions on the rack I break, I break
Night terror, hysteria, nocturnal trial by fire, eyes open wide but I can't see
Mind awake, body at rest, drifting through sleep transitions
Borderland state, swimming through waves, sensory dream condition
Without warning, I fall down the bottomless well, flesh is crawling, need to claw my way out of this hell
By the sword, on the wheel, twisting in the wind
Pierce the silence with a scream, why can't I remember anything? Anything?
Night terror, hysteria, nocturnal trial by fire, eyes open wide but I can't see
Night terror, hysteria, nocturnal trial by fire, eyes open wide but I can't see
Night terror, hysteria, nocturnal trial by fire, eyes open wide but I can't see

"A Broken Man"
m. John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, John Myung, Mike Portnoy, James LaBrie
l. James LaBrie

Parasomnia (2025)

Target at 7-1-7-0! Code 2! Code 2! Take cover!

Feel the heat intensify, steel piercing the skin, sky on fire, electrified, war inside begins
Wrought with guilt, abandoning comrades lying still, soulless eyes stare back at me, broken, sick, I feel
What of the dreams? A haunting curse, toxic and bleak, I'm getting worse
Dead inside, though I've tried, I know I am a broken man

"Suffering, suffering inside and shaking. I'm sweating at night, just trying to find an answer to feel comfortable with, what, um, like, what did I witness?"

Swaying, praying, trying to escape, laughing, crying, more than one can take
Haunting, taunting, will not let me be, hypnotizing and not letting go of me
Stranglehold, dreams unfold, helpless, can't break free, memories, blood red sky, rain down on me
Battle cry, war inside, senseless tragedy, shock and awe, numb and raw, suffocating me
Nightmare, will this never end? Flashback, I'm unravelling
Misery can't break free, wasted lives cast aside
What of the dreams? A haunting curse, toxic and bleak, I'm getting worse
Dead inside, though I've tried, I know I am a broken man
What of the dreams? What can I learn? Nor can erase, forever burn
What of the dreams? Inflamed and torn and now I wish I had never been born
All is lost, I've done all I can, I swear, this cross is mine to bear
Broken man, only one remedy, he waits patiently, peaceful and free for eternity

"Dead Asleep"
m. John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, John Myung, Mike Portnoy, James LaBrie
l. John Petrucci

Parasomnia (2025)

In a waterside village, in the heat of July, a man and his wife settled down for the night
In the morning, he woke to a horrible sight
It's all just so tragic, an unusual case, the violent result of a fatal mistake
How can he be to blame? He was never awake
Wake up! What have I done? I was dead asleep
Wake up! Can you send someone? I'm not insane, I was dead asleep
Scrambling in the darkness, in fear for his life, certain a killer broke in
He fumbles for a weapon, reaches for a knife, a sleepwalking murder begins
It was a vivid encounter, a realistic fight and now he's got blood on his hands
He stands over the body, sees it's his wife, a nightmare he can't understand
I must confess it was me, I needed to silence the screams
She suffered a brutal attack, a shockingly violent act
Wake up! What have I done? I was dead asleep
Wake up! Can you send someone? I'm not insane, I was dead asleep
Out of my mind, out of my body, someone's been killed, I am sorry
Out of control, all out of answers, maybe one day you'll forgive me
Wake up! What have I done? I was dead asleep
I must have been dreaming, I have no memory of anything
We strongly suspect you're feeling a sense of despair, no one knows of the guilt that you bear
In the eyes of the law, you are free, you are innocent

"Midnight Messiah"
m. John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, John Myung, Mike Portnoy, James LaBrie
l. Mike Portnoy

Parasomnia (2025)

That's my problem. I'm like I'm trapped. I keep thinking that I'm waking up but I'm still in a dream, it seems like it's going on forever, I can't get out of it, I want to wake up for real.
How do you really wake up? When I finally woke up, I was like, "Whoa, that wasn't a dream. That was a visitation to this real place: the Land of the Dead.

Lost time, thought I lost my mind, hHow the hell did I end up here?
Rewind, help to remind, the last thing I can remember
Dreamtime, floating cloud nine, heavenly bliss utopia
Sublime, feeling so divine, just another plеasant nightmare
In my dreams therе's a song I once knew, like an uncanny strange déjà vu
Memories flashing all through my brain, over and over and over again
Midnight messiah, darkness descends, eternally wired, the dream never ends
Twilight desires, midnight messiah
Moon shine, time to come alive, no rest for the wicked
Downtown, have a look around, feeding the obsession in my head
There's a place that I go where no one's afraid
It's a feeling that we all know, but everyone's ashamed to say
In my dreams there's a flame burning bright, constant motion shines into the night
Forevermore blistering out of control, over and over and over it goes
Midnight messiah, darkness descends, eternally wired, the dream never ends
Twilight desires, midnight messiah
Back in the Waking life, a midsummer night's dream
I realize I can no longer fly alone, help find my destiny
Take me back into the dream for all eternity
It's calling me back to my home
In my life I've lost all self-control, like a sword piercing this dying soul
Breaking and shaking and left in the cold, watch this compulsive obsession unfold
Midnight messiah, darkness descends, eternally wired, the dream will never end
I can't stand the pressure, the daytime collectors, I'll never go back there again
Keep those eyes closed, you're now going home, forever alive in your head
Twilight eternal, midnight messiah

"Bend The Clock"
m. John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, John Myung, Mike Portnoy, James LaBrie
l. James LaBrie

Parasomnia (2025)

Worn down, wearing thin, hellish dreams, tormenting scenes
Shadows looming, I'm paralyzed, can’t move, scared and confused
If I, if I could bend the clock, the passageway of time, leave it all behind
No more, no more paralyzing dreams, the midnight screams always haunting me, but I sink deeper each day
Cold, hallowed place, dark shadows, vast haunting landscapes
In a frantic state, tired of feeling lost, alone and out of place
This circle I can't break, every night, lie comatose but wide awake
I'm paralyzed again, darkness creeping in
If I, if I could bend the clock, the passageway of time, leave it all behind
No more, no more paralyzing dreams, the midnight screams always haunting me, but I sink further today
The witching hour begins, can’t escape, I find myself again
Prisoner in the end, sinking further than I've ever been
And if I, if I could bend the clock, the passageway of time
A better place I'd find and no more, no more paralyzing dreams
The midnight screams break this hold on me
But I can't get away, can't find my way, sinking further every day

"The Shadow Man Incident"
m. John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, John Myung, Mike Portnoy, James LaBrie
l. John Petrucci

Parasomnia (2025)

A frightened child pulls his blanket overhead, his mind runs wild amidst the silence
He can feel his stare (I see you), intruder in the room, but no one's there, he could hardly move frozen like a stone
This is more than just a terrifying dream, the shadow's always watching

Embrace the shadow!

She's half asleep, bedroom window open wide, can hardly breathe as a figure creeps inside
She sees no face, an expressionless black hole, she's too afraid to run or speak or hidе, can he peer into her soul?
This is more than just a tеrrifying dream, the shadow's always watching

"That is not dead which can eternal lie and with strange aeons even death may die.

Standing at seven feet tall he's a sight to behold, tales of the man in the hat surfaced centuries ago
Wearing a flowing black cloak and a watch on a chain, he stands in the corner in darkness as you go insane
Fighting for breath as the incubus sits on your chest, the night demon waits as you dream, standing over your bed
Night, it will be forever changed, will the shadow be revealed? Can we ever know his name?
Endless night, not a soul will hear you scream and you never will escape from the devil in your dreams
Endless night, endless night
The vision that lives off your fear, making you panic and sweat, he hides in the mist, but does he exist?
A stranger you'll never forget, he waits at the end of the hall, a presence you cannot explain
One minute he's there, turn your back, then he's gone, you'd better pray he never calls out your name

In the darkness, every faint noise of the night seemed magnified.

Night, it will be forever changed, will the shadow be revealed? Can we ever know his name?
Endless night, not a soul will hear you scream and you never will escape from the devil in your dreams
Endless night, endless night, endless night
Terrifying nightmares shared around the world, stories of a faceless man who goes by many names and traps us in his fearful gaze
A stranger in the mist, in the darkness of the night, who leaves us paralyzed as you fall asleep
Better keep a watchful eye and maybe leave a light on tonight

Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up!
